Middlesex-based hirer L. Lynch says it expects to spend a total of more than £15m this year on new equipment. Its latest purchases include additional Thwaites Alldrive 3 and 6 tonne dumpers, supplied by local dealer Leach Lewis, bringing the hirer’s total fleet of such machines to approximately 250. Most of these are Thwaites units, ranging up to 9 tonne.
“The 3 tonne machines are ideal for work involving small road repairs,” said Director Robert Lynch. “Being just 1650mm wide and, having a Powerswivel skip that slews through 180°, they can be used on a single carriageway.”
He adds that the company’s investment in machinery this year will further reduce the average age of its mixed fleet of 1,800 units, which is currently approximately 18 months. Robert Lynch is pictured (right) with fellow Director Merrill Lynch (left) and Nick Anwyl of Leach Lewis.
