GAP has placed orders for £10m of plant which will be delivered over the next four months. This follows on from a £2m investment made by the hirer in January 2011 for its six new lifting depots, and for its second purpose-built non-mechanical depot in Warrington, which is due to open next month.
The £10m order is for additional equipment for the GAP fleet, while a further £15m will be spent this year to replace existing items. The recent purchase includes mini excavators, rollers, compressors and dumpers, and equates to more than 400 pieces of plant, to be distributed throughout GAP’s 59 depots.
