SDMO Energy reports that it had an extremely successful Executive Hire Show, with a large number of confirmed orders from a variety of hirers, and a multitude of enquiries to follow up, according to General Manager, Clive Dix.
“The Show gave us the opportunity to showcase our new Rental Compact range of sets to the UK hire industry. In all, total orders to the value of £750,000 were actually taken at the Show, and a further £500,000 worth was confirmed just after the event, as a direct consequence of our participation.”
Generator hire specialist, Power Command of Rotherham, confirmed an order for a fleet of 100kVA Rental Compact sets on the second day of the Show. Kevin Hickey (pictured, right, with Clive Dix) from Power Command said, “The R1103C model is distinctive, stylish with robust features that make it an outstanding product for hire. It is not just a square box containing an engine and an alternator, but a complete concept for the hire market.”
The SDMO sales team also welcomed HazHire of Aberdeen to its stand as their latest Gold Dealer. Gold Dealer certificates were presented to HazHire’s Directors, Jim Sweeney and George Gray, by Nick Bradshaw, MD of SDMO Energy.
“We also accepted orders for a number of our petrol sets from Campbell Plant and Martin Plant,” continued Clive Dix. “The Show gave us a great opportunity to start 2011 in a positive manner and we were very pleased to note a similarly positive mood within the industry as a whole. The organisers should be commended for all their efforts.”
