The CPA (Construction Plant-hire Association) has published a Safety Publication Catalogue detailing the technical advice publications it offers concerning plant safety and operator competence.

Publications include Best Practice Guides on topics such as powered access, construction hoists and quick hitches on excavators, and general guidance is also available on subjects including lifting operations in construction when using excavators, and working at height when loading and unloading transport. Publications can be downloaded from the Association website at www.cpa.uk.net

The CPA promoted the new catalogue on its stand at the Executive Hire Show last week. Also during the exhibition, The Strategic Forum Plant Safety Group, which is chaired by CPA, launched new guidance on the safe use of telehandlers in construction. The March issue of EHN will include a report on the new Guidance as part of its comprehensive Show review.
