Yorkshire-based hirer Chippindale Plant has added 25 Manitou telehandlers to its fleet. Supplied by dealer BTE Plant Sales of Leicester, the order includes the recently introduced compact MT625 machine that offers a 6m lift height. This model was reviewed in the September issue of EHN.
Other units that have been supplied are the MT732, MT1235S and MT1840, which have maximum lift heights of 7, 12 and 18m respectively. Director Nigel Chippindale, who is pictured, right, with fellow Director and brother, Peter, said: “The current market trend is based on tight cost control, with customers hiring lower lift-height machines at the earlier build stage, and the higher-lift height models for the latter stages involving three-storey developments and above.”
Chippindale Plant offers a comprehensive fleet of tools, plant and equipment, including power tools, bowsers, mini excavators, dumpers, rollers and compressors. As well as its Leeds headquarters, it has depots in Catterick, Huddersfield, Keighley, Sheffield and York. The customer base ranges from small builders and tradesmen, to utilities contractors and civil engineers.
Manitou machines will be amongst the equipment that BTE Plant Sales will be highlighting on its stand at the Executive Hire Show on 9 and 10 February at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry.
