Scottish hirer, Jarvie Plant Group, reports that customers are pleased with the performance of the Kubota KX057-4 mini excavator, two of which the company recently added to its fleet. The machines are part of the Dash 4 line-up launched earlier this year, which have been designed to give increased power and productivity.
The 5.5 tonne KX057-4 is a zero tail swing model that offers a maximum dig depth of 3890mm and a digging force of 4315kgf. The control panel in the cab has a digital display indicating fuel level, engine temperature and service intervals, and it also logs the machine’s operational history over the previous 90 days. The Tier 4 engine has an auto-idle function for fuel economy.
“Customers these days want mini excavators that are quieter, offer enhanced performance and which are more fuel-efficient,” said John Jarvie, MD of the Group, which operates out of seven locations in Scotland, including its headquarters in Grangemouth, near Falkirk. “The KX057-4 achieves all of these targets, providing benefits direct to our clients.”
