HAE reports that its SafeHire scheme is undergoing a radical transformation following close working with BSI Standards Solutions. The development of a hire industry specification is the key outcome, a practical document aimed at bridging requirements for safety management and service standards within hire operations.

Graham Arundell, HAE MD, said: “The new hire standard gives SafeHire a major boost in terms of industry awareness, take-up and recognition. Safety is the top priority for the hire industry and SafeHire is being adapted to reflect changing operational requirements.”

The new Hire and Rental Industry Business Management and Service Quality Specification will be launched officially on 14 December.
