A Liverpool-based hirer specialising in the supply of compact cranes has just added a third Maeda MC285 machine to its fleet. Formed in August 2009 by Peter Piekarus in partnership with Christopher Reilly, the aptly named A Mini Crane Hire Company supplies machines, accessories and training to customers working in construction, facilities maintenance and related industries.
Located in Knowsley, the business serves customers in Liverpool, Manchester and throughout the northwest. “The majority of orders for the MC285s come from glaziers and steelwork erectors,” Peter Piekarus told EHN. “We specialise in Maeda mini cranes, and we get excellent backup and support from Kranlyft, the UK master distributor.”
The MC285 weighs 1950kg, has a 2.8 tonne lift capacity and offers a maximum 8.7m lift height, yet is only 750mm wide in the stowed position. It is available in diesel and diesel/electric versions.
