Hilti (GB) Ltd reports increasing interest from hirers in the accessories and consumables it offers for use with its electro-pneumatic breakers, owing to their ability to help users meet Health & Safety considerations as well as increasing performance.

To address the issue of workplace dust, the TE DRS –B dust removal system can be fitted to breakers such as the TE 1500-AVR, to remove up to 95% of potentially hazardous fine particles at the chisel and chuck area. The manufacturer also offers a specialist range of self-sharpening polygon chisels, designed to reduce HAV and to increase hammering power.

Hilti says that it continues to invest significantly in product research and development, and that new power tools targeted at the hire industry will be announced in the New Year.
