Work at Height and Executive Hire
Show Review

Reducing risks associated with working at height remains
one of the most important Health & Safety issues, and
hirers play an essential role in providing appropriate advice
and equipment. Our Market Report will review the relevant
legislation and consider the latest solutions available, from
ladders, steps and low-level access products, to aluminium
towers and mobile elevated work platforms.

In addition, we will provide a comprehensive review of the
very latest product launches that were kept under wraps
until the Executive Hire Show opened for business.

Green Zone Part One -
Challenges of a Changing Market

As the construction industry strives for increased
efficiency and the implementation of good practice
in waste minimisation and sustainable development,
EHN will analyse measures that the hire industry can
implement to support these initiatives and boost its
own green credentials. We will examine ways in which
hirers can best engage with, and support, Site Waste
Management Plans and policies for waste streaming
and recycling, and will assess the opportunities created
by the use of new materials and working methods.
Our Market Report will also review the latest appropriate
equipment for hire fleets, such as shredders, crushers,
environment-friendly engines, and products powered
by greener fuels like lpg and solar panels.

Our preview of the national event for
construction, taking place on 13-15 May,
will focus on the latest non-operated plant and

Sawing & Cutting and exhibition
reviews
of SED and Safety & Health Expo.

Our 2008 Market Report will include a detailed evaluation of
the latest all-purpose diamond blades that are being strongly
recommended for use by the hire industry. We will also consider
bonded abrasive products, disc cutters, and table and flip over
saws suitable for the UK hire industry. In addition, we will
provide an update on the large grinder market, as well as reporting
