It can carry 350kg, has a hopper capacity of 8ft3 and is capable of climbing a 30° gradient. Power is provided by a 5.5hp Honda engine and the machine has four-wheel drive with three forward gears plus reverse.
Accessories for the standard Muck-truck will still fit the new model. The flat bed can be loaded with up to 120 bricks, while a tow hitch enables the machine to pull loads without removing the hopper, and to manoeuvre trailers and caravans. Other attachments include a vacuum sweeper and a snowplough.
Clear the air with Dustcontrol
Dustcontrol will display its mobile dust extraction cyclone based vacuums and purpose-built dust cowls for power tools, with live demonstrations showing how concrete blocks can be cut and ground without creating airborne dust. The manufacturer will also promote its AirCube 2000, a Hepa 13 filtered air cleaner, which won the Award for Most Innovative Product at the Executive Hire Show in February.
The mobile machines carry the Application Class “H” rating to minimise the spread of hazardous dusts such as respirable crystalline silica (RCS), and Dustcontrol says the products are being used increasingly by contractors, refurbishment specialists, and construction companies, especially those working in schools, hospitals and retail environments. They can control dust and reduce cleaning tasks following tasks such as wall chasing, block and stone cutting, drilling, breaking, sanding and surface preparation.
DeWalt for accuracy
DeWalt will promote its DW717XPS 250mm dual bevel sliding mitre saw. It features a crosscut positioning system (XPS) that uses LED technology to not only illuminate the work area, but also to cast a shadow of the blade showing exactly where the cut will be, with no need for calibration.
The machine has a patented precision mitre system, which allows users to make repeatable and accurate cuts. A machined base fence support system increases rigidity and ensures the fence remains perpendicular to the blade.
Additionally, the stainless steel mitre detent plate has ten positive detents for quick and easy adjustment. Users can cut a 320mm x 76mm piece of material at 0? and 226mm x 76mm materials at 45?. Maximum depth of cut is 155mm, allowing skirting to be cut vertically against the back fence.
Bobcat makes its move

Doosan’s latest highlight
At the centre of the Doosan Infracore International Portable Power (DIPP) display will be the new V9 light tower designed for improved reliability, reduced fuel consumption and lower operating costs.
Four rotating 1,000watt metal halide lamps provide a lighting power of 360,000 lumens. The electrical system has been designed so that components are protected if the tower is switched off via the emergency stop button rather than powered down as normal using the key switch. Options include an energy-saving auto-start system with a photocell and timer, and a connection to mains electricity to enable the machine to illuminate work indoors.
The mast is raised hydraulically to the maximum height of 9m in ten seconds, and a brake mechanism lowers the mast automatically if the handbrake is released. Compact dimensions enable up to nine of the light towers to be transported on a standard delivery vehicle, and low fuel consumption gives a run time of up to 73 hours. DIPP compressors, generators and pneumatic tools will also be on show.
Avant Tecno powers ahead
Avant Tecno (UK)’s 700 Series loaders are designed for a wide range of materials handling applications requiring a robust, powerful and manoeuvrable machine.
