Demon’s small Tornado
Demon International has just launched a new compact industrial pressure washer, designed to meet hire industry demand for a smaller, portable machine. The Tornado Mini Bowser Washer has a Honda GX120 engine, providing 1500psi at 9 litres/minute. Demon says the water tank will provide up to 15 minutes of pressure washing when working away from a water source, making it suitable for use in remote locations.

Master Key offers purchase options
Master Key Finance Services’ Triopt is designed to enable hirers to increase their equipment fleets without overstretching their resources. The company also sees it as a cost-effective way of financing purchases of unfamiliar equipment or to expand with machines that previously had to be crosshired.
Under Triopt, the hire company can pay all 12 or 24 monthly instalments and a final settlement fee of £1 plus Vat, or they can buy the equipment at any time for its initial purchase price, less a refund of 85% of all monthly hires paid on a 12-month contract (70% on a 24-month arrangement). The third option, if the item is deemed not to be worthy of retention in the fleet, is to return the equipment to Master Key to terminate the contract, subject to at least two payments having been made (four payments on a 24-month contract).

Bosch increases cordless range
Bosch is extending its Standard Duty cordless range by introducing new 14.4V and 18V drill/drivers, meaning the company now offers Lithium-Ion powered models from 10.8-36V. The GSRST 14.4/18V-LI Professional models are powered by a new 2.6Ah Premium Li-Ion battery, with cells designed for efficient operation and long life. The 14.4V tool can drive 210 screws (6 x 60 mm) in softwood on one battery charge, says Bosch.
Both models have a two-speed gearbox and the drills have a 13mm auto-lock tool holder to facilitate one-handed accessory changes.

Edmolift launches mobile platform
Edmolift, a manufacturer of scissor lift systems for installation in factories, has launched the T-zip, its first mobile low-level access platform, designed to remove the need for ladders, steps and kick stools. Two models are available. The T-zip 5X weighs only 115kg and has a maximum platform height of 1000mm, while the 2XX, which has a double scissor mechanism, weighs 135kg and has a 1650mm maximum platform height.
Both machines are 650mm wide and are powered by two rechargeable 12V DC batteries. Full height is reached within five seconds on the 5X (nine seconds on the 2XX) using technology derived from Edmolift’s goods lifts. The company says the T-zip’s relatively low weight enhances manoeuvrability and reduces risk of back strain when positioning the unit.
