Executive
Report:
See
you
at
the
Show!
Hirers
are
being
urged
to
put
the
Executive
Hire
Show
dates
in
their
diaries.
Alan
Guthrie
discovers
that
many
already
have.
For
Clive
Patterson,
Managing
Director
of
the
Uxbridge-based
independent,
Portatools,
visiting
the
Executive
Hire
Show
is
a
major
priority
for
the
New
Year.
From
everything
I
have
seen
and
read
about
the
exhibition,
the
organisers
have
the
bit
between
their
teeth
and
are
staging
a
genuine
industry-wide
event,
one
that
will
re-establish
our
annual
show.
It
is
a
great
opportunity
to
keep
up
to
date
on
all
that
is
new,
and
if
there
are
particularly
tempting
Show-only
deals
on
suppliers
stands
I
will
place
orders.
The
exhibition
allows
hirers
to
discuss
informally
equipment
we
might
need,
such
as
non-standard
items
that
we
may
have
had
requests
for.
It
helps
the
decision
making
process.
Mark
Raftery,
Managing
Director
of
Blackpool-based
M
&
R
Hire
Centres,
will
attend
the
Executive
Hire
Show
with
several
colleagues.
Exhibitions
like
this
are
a
tremendous
way
of
seeing
whats
new
from
many
different
suppliers,
all
of
which
are
there
to
do
business.
It
makes
it
easy
for
smaller
hire
companies
to
make
contact
with
a
lot
of
manufacturers
in
one
place,
putting
us
on
an
equal
footing
with
buyers
from
the
larger
groups.
The
Ricoh
Arena
is
a
much
better
venue
and
is
very
easy
to
get
to.
I
attended
the
EHN
HAV
Conference
which
was
held
there
in
October,
and
I
was
extremely
impressed
by
the
quality
of
the
complex
and
the
facilities
there.
The
only
exhibition
focused
on
hire
Colin
Tall,
Managing
Director
of
Southwark-based
Hire4Lower
will
also
be
in
attendance.
I
am
a
true
Londoner
and,
to
be
honest,
I
would
rather
attend
shows
in
the
capital.
But
I
realise
that
the
Executive
Hire
Show
is
now
the
only
exhibition
focused
exclusively
on
hire,
so
I
will
go
to
the
industrys
dedicated
event.
I
am
eager
to
see
the
latest
kit,
and
to
take
advantage
of
special
Show-only
offers
that
are
genuinely
available
just
during
the
event
itself
and
which
are
targeted
at
all
hire
companies,
regardless
of
size.
These
criteria
must
be
observed
rigidly
by
exhibiting
suppliers.
For
Dave
Arscott,
Fleet
Technical
Manager
for
Brandon
Tool
Hire,
such
a
dedicated
industry
show
is
a
must-see
event.
It
will
be
great
to
be
able
to
see
so
many
of
our
suppliers,
and
not
just
the
larger
manufacturers.
The
Executive
Hire
Show
will
enable
smaller
suppliers
to
promote
their
products
and
services
on
an
equal
playing
field,
and
companies
like
them
often
develop
equipment
that
is
eye-catching
and
innovative.
With
the
on-going
importance
of
issues
like
HAV
and
work
at
height,
the
Safety
Zone
at
the
Show
will
be
of
major
interest
as
a
means
of
seeing
the
latest
Health
&
Safety
solutions
for
hire
fleets.
I
will
definitely
be
attending
the
Show,
states
Robert
Kelly,
Director
of
Procurement
at
A-Plant.
It
is
always
beneficial
to
see
so
many
suppliers
in
one
location,
and
we
can
open
up
constructive
dialogues
that
can
be
followed
up
and
developed
afterwards.
No
less
than
five
staff
from
Traction
Equipment
of
Stafford
will
be
at
the
Show.
We
will
be
visiting
with
a
shopping
list
and
ready
to
do
business
with
both
established
and
new
suppliers,
states
Director
Matt
Bloomer.
And
it
is
great
to
see
so
many
power
tool
and
accessory
suppliers
amongst
the
exhibitors,
which
have
been
conspicuous
by
their
absence
at
other
shows
in
recent
years.
Having
taken
on
more
Health
&
Safety
responsibilities
within
our
company,
I
will
be
very
interested
in
the
seminar
programme
running
alongside
the
exhibition
as
a
means
of
keeping
myself
updated.
The
Executive
Hire
Show
has
struck
a
chord
with
the
industry.
I
know,
because
so
many
of
our
suppliers
are
talking
about
it.
